As a wedding photographer, few things can rival the joy of capturing perfect moments amidst a stunning backdrop. Vista Creek's location lends itself to just that, the perfect venue for Alyssa and David's wedding. The Outer Banks has lots of picturesque venues, but something about being nestled on the marsh, showcasing the ethereal golden hour has such a organic feel. Alyssa was able to get ready on site in the bridal suite and before the ceremony started we were able to shoot their first look without leaving the property.
I particularly love the sweetness of this couple's first look. This cherished tradition, where the bride and groom see each other for the first time, gives us time to capture raw reactions without a crowd gathered around. We did the first look outside, and the two exchanged notes read out loud to each other. After the ceremony and before the reception kicked off, the sun dipped below the horizon and we snuck back outside to soak in the landscape covered in warm hues, casting a radiant glow ending their day and kicking off the party.
