Alison & Allison’s Beach House Corolla wedding

Alison and Allison’s Wedding at a beach house in Corolla on the coast of North Carolina on the Outer Banks this past summer was over the top.  This wedding was so awesome it was featured in The Outer Banks Weddings Magazine!  The weather was perfect with blue skies and breezes.

The couple met in college in a classroom and it was love at first sight.  The bride and her family and guests all came from Long Island NY but the couple lives in Winston-Salem in North Carolina now.   Most of my weddings are destination weddings and a lot of times I never even meet the couple before the wedding but I was able to do this couples engagement session at the Bodie Island Lighthouse and Coquina Beach months before the wedding.  I really enjoyed getting to know this couple and I know photography was really important to them.

There was an unbelievable amount of flowers everywhere which really made a statement.  The pink and white roses and greenery were on tables, bouquets, wreaths in the pool, the cake and a huge wreath over the dance floor.  The mothers of the brides were given wrist corsages with flowers and silk ribbon.  The clear top tent with lights hanging everywhere added to the beauty and mood.

The first look took place on the beach which made the photos more scenic and lovely.  They also included their two king charles spaniels in the first look and ceremony.  I love this!  I am a huge dog lover.  They also wrote their own vows which they read while tearing up during the ceremony and was so sweet.  As they recessed from the ceremony they had everyone throw colorful rose petals to make a grand exit.  Among all of the extra details that made their wedding so special was an enormous dessert bar with mini cup of goodies and chocolate oyster shells with pearls.  Sweets were in abundance from the two wedding cakes and special monogrammed cookies with gold leaf.  The wedding rings were sapphire and diamond bands, which are now a popular alternative to diamonds.  The favors were red blown glass fish and sand dollar seating guides, which were a nice touch.  Sunset Slush was their with their cool cart with an assortment of frozen concoctions with wine and liquor.

Alison and Allison, no one deserves this amazingly perfect wedding than the two of you.  I wish you the happiest of wedding bliss. Thanks for having me a part of your wedding day.
